The facts on the 'postie' position

Post by feduppostie »

Whatever part of RM you work for this deal is bad

It is too vague, to '2007'ish, designed to divide

in fact I can't believe the cwu have put their name to it

If as we keep getting told the company is on it's arse

I have a solution

stop paying bonuses/golden handshakes/golden goodbyes and other untold undeserved bonus money to people at the top

if it is on it's arse it is their fault - nobody elses

stop rewarding them for failure

this used to be a company we were proud to say we worked for

now noone is happy - the workforce the customers ( and yes I mean granny smith sat at home not the bigwigs with their funny handshakes)

grow some balls cwu and do what we expect of you

Those are not facts, they are opinion.

RM continue to pay vast amounts of money to executive management ( far in excess of Crozier's, Leighton's and Brydon's predecessors ), yet appear to avoid at all costs to keep workers pay at pace with inflation ( and what it might be expected to do in the coming months and years )

RM continue to speak of improved service and modernisation to all customers....yet such service has greatly deteriorated for all customers ( ALL of them from Granny Smith, to SMEs, major corporations and everything in between )

RM continue to talk of reduced mail volumes, and loss of turn over to DSA, yet make no effort to amend the DSA agreement - or even publicise the problems of DSA, in a bid to amend the situation, preferring to unilaterally amend counting methods of transportable mail, without Union agreement, and maintaining that reduced figure despite evidence from the union to suggest the original figure was too low in the first place.

If RM were consitant in their methods ( treating their workers with the same respect as they do Exec management, admitting that the service is reduced - but for good reason, ie, cost saving reasons due to reduced income - and when it makes public or service announcements, to do so with some truth, not the misdirections, misinformations, fibs, falsehoods and bare faced lies that are the stock in trade from RMs publicity & media departments over the last few years.

NT, you can argue that these are not facts either, but, when an entity such as RM gives a general impression of merely flirting with truth, rather than speaking nothing but the truth, it's hard to offer that entity any trust at all, and you can argue my post is nothing but opinion, but my first point is FACT, my second point is FACT, my third point is FACT and my fourth point is OPINION, so you'd be 1/4 right ( but you'd be able to say in true RM tradition, that YOU WERE RIGHT ( and ignore what you were wrong about ).
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?
