Heard nothing from my union

Our union rep is currently on the sick. Nobody in my DO would have known what the agreement was unless i had told them. Why are the union so quiet??

Members should check the CWU website more often and the CWU should promote it more as a place to get info.

Problem is at my DO very few people have access to a pc and wouldn't know how to use it if they did.

As i stated union rep off sick.

Think I will print off copy for notice board.

As paying members we should be informed/updated at least fortnightly by the cwu by way of newsletter or something!

COMMUNICATION WORKERS UNION doesn't communicate anything. Their website is hopeless.
Methinks they are embarrased by this dire proposal they've concocted with management. VOTE NO!!!!

Totally agree,it should be promoted a lot better,only thing is I cant log on using my membership number.

Not only the union who dont seem to know whats going on, our DOM was asked in WTLL about the deal, he was clueless I knew more than him, seems both sides prefer to treat us workers as mushrooms.

You are right, my cover DIM claimed he didn't know anything about the agreement until I told him. Call me cynical but it could be a ploy to find out our strength of feelings.

All Branches should have received copies of the Agreement and copies should be passed on to Unit Reps. Following the National Briefing, Branches will be having meetings over the next week or so and further information, leaflets etc will be made available as soon as possible. Some of the material will be sent to home addresses, other stuff will go to Unit Reps for display and discussion locally.

Members have been kept in the dark over the negotiations for the past 4 months owing to the conditions applied by Roger Poole etc. Now that the negotiations have concluded and a proposed Agreement is available it is only right and proper that all CWU members have the opportunity to see the Agreement in full and ask questions of their CWU Representatives where required.

Do not be afraid to ask questions. This is probably the most important decision you will have to make in respect to your future with RM. It is only fair that you have all the information to hand so that you can judge the Agreement as a whole and vote accordingly.

DIM DOMs in our area were briefed earlier this week on the Agreement. You can always call their bluff about the Agreement by spreading an outrageous lie within your Unit and see what response you get from DIM DOM
