Yes I thought when they were discussing the part privatisation in the house of lords they said that collegue shares were worth £5000. By the end of this with share money and dividends renamed as bonus by the CWU wont we have had only £3400. What happened to the other £1600. Perhaps an MP could ask what happened here, after all Offcom was supposed to come in, and once and for all, find out how much money Royal Mail actually has. My bet is that it went on the hugely inflated bonuses of August 2009 for managers which increased by 400% for that year alone. As its a publicly owned company at least the public should be entitled to know what happened to each member of staffs £1600.

The £5000 was the total phantom share money plus other bonuses all added up. The £400 last year, the £800 I think it was in the first year. The phantom shares on thier own were not meant to total up to £5k, more like £1k-£2k. Of course the beauty of these phantom shares is they can say they are worth what they bloody like when it comes to selling them back. Don't be surprised if when that time comes they are actually worth around 5p a share and not the £1.50 they are supposedly worth atm
