is cutting off banned?
So has cutting off been banned since the walks are unlimeted?
one day part timers will have the same right as full timers

walking times unlimited means they can send you out on delivery from 7 till 2:15 if they like making you walk for over 7 hrs, but once your time is up its up, cutting off can never be taken away from us

you are contracted for 40 hours a week.
if you don't want to work any more they CAN'T MAKE YOU.
you are covered by LAW.
the only person who can make you work more is YOURSELF.
if you dont know the procedure for informing your manager that you will have to cut off-find out what it is.
don't rely on anyone else to do it for you.
stand up to these bullying managers because they WILL try it on.
if they threaten you with anything get them to PUT IT IN WRITING.
in my experience they know they dont have a leg to stand on so they WOULDN'T DARE to commit it to paper as it could leave them open to legal action.
"DON'T LET THE BASTARDS GRIND YOU DOWN".

Walks will not be unlimited,although i have not had the chance to read the agreement properly,i'm guessing your del span will go down to local agreements.

as we all know some guys get away a bit earlier than finishing time.

We now have a say in the pegasus software.This means call rate and walk speeds.Your call rate will now be maximum with a walk rate of 2 MPH. The Indoor workload tool also gets our input,their way was flawed.
If you learn it well enough,(and I mean putting the effort in),you could have more hours put BACK in.

How could anyone have possibly prepped a 7hr walk by 8am?
The sun wouldn't be burning until at least noon.
And the weight won't be on your shoulders. (Park and loop, HCT etc)
The deal is bad enough without mass hysteria.

ive just been reading the agreement from what I can make out (its not really written clearly - probably on purpose)
"Delivery Spans -
Royal Mail and CWU agree that the length of the delivery span can be an enabler in bringing about mutual benefits. From now on, within the process of duty revision negotiations, spans must be looked at in the context of an enabler rather than a fixed amount of time to be aimed at.
Post- revision management
- Review of new duties and working arrangements after implementation.
- Potential tweaks to duties or allocation of resource to duties agreed and implemented as necessary."
So basically, theyll set you a pretty big duty which they think you can just about get done in the working day, then theyll review it based on how youre doing on it. If you always have to cut off with half a street to go, then theyll take that half a street off and hey presto you have a duty set (provided they dont think youre taking the p*ss in which case Id imagine youd get your duty tested)
