Can anybody shed any light on how the agreement will affect partimers chances of getting made up to full time...(if any

)

suppose its still up to the manager whether he needs any full timers, the opportunties will be few and far between

our office is over 50% P/T staff now, from 1hr-30hr contracts...

How will it affect office like ours..?

One thing that has crossed my mind about the 75/25 split - is that across the entire office workforce ( including RLE, Bookroom, MT room, early shift, late shift, etc ) or is it just across those with an outside element? I ask 'cos the only PT duties we have are in the morning on deliveries, and if some of them ( including me - 1st PT in my DO ) aren't made up to FT, then it will make no difference to the squeeze on IPS in our office

get ready for later starts and later finishs.

get ready for anything that is going to make u want to quit ur job.

get ready for a union agrees with this.

ofcourse its only posties.
you may get part time staff in sorting centres - but they can be full time if they want in there.
its not they get half there work preped for them .

only posties are told YOULL NEVER BE FULL TIME

If the union/royalmail had agreed to a 35 hour working those hours would have to be made up and part time staff would be the obvious source to gain extra hours/pay!. Since it is not in the agreement it seams highly unlikely!.

they never even asked for that .

I would of been happy with 35 hours.

i would of even accepted a pay cut on d2d.

whos going to prep my unlimted D2D and do everything else in 45 minutes? - i wont be.

Even full time would for they and you and us all will be worked over like never before if this agreement sees the light of day!. Do not forget full time staff have more to lose as this employer is hell bent on getting rid of all full time staff and don't think it will play into your hands if they do for it will not they have plans to make part time less than 16 hours a week!. WHY YOU MAY WELL ASK BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GO TO A TRIBUNAL NOR GET ANY HOLIDAY PAY LEAVE IN ESSENCE YOU WILL HAVE NO RIGHTS!.

We get paid extra now to prep and deliver D2D

In the new agreement, D2D is becoming part of the workload in order to help save F/T jobs.

That means when we come in, our frame should be prepped with all the normal workload (to include D2D) for us.

Granted occasionally a tray or two hasnt been done etc.

I dont think this has yet been picked up by posters and readers on this site yet.
