I am just trying to see if there is anything we can be constructive about regarding the version of the agreement that was posted on this forum earlier on today.
there seemed to be a few areas highlighted with pencil so maybe the final draft if that was not it maybe slightly different.

D2D: the figure shown in the document was £20.60 this will rise in conjunction with pay rises so by the end of the proposed 3 year deal this would rise to roughly £21.90. I have worked for RM for 16 Years and have never had a increase in D2D payments so this is a step in the right direction, I do understand that for some with high cals on there walks will lose out, but the payment is for 52 weeks not the current 43 weeks you would deliver D2D if you take A/L and no D2D over the xmas period.
having D2D counted into workload is also a step in the right direction, because it has to be factored in to your indoor and outdoor workload during a revision, if this is done properly and your rep is clued up and gets all the figures right there shouldn't be a problem, remember it wouldn't matter whether you were delivering to 400 calls or 900 calls you would only be out delivering for the same time.

Part Time Staff: would receive an extra pay increase when the revision was complete and full-time staff moved to the 39 hour week as it would be an increase in our hourly rate.

Lump Sums: these are there to entice people and sometimes they will, the annoying thing is as with the way forward agreement I imagine the whole agreement will be summarised in the first fews pages and some members won't look past them.

Colleague Share: it says in this copy of the agreement that this money will be used to fund lump sum payments in year 2 & 3 of the deal, there was never a guarantee what we were going to receive from this scheme as RM can easily manipulate the figures when they like and low and behold the price has gone down when it comes to pay out time, don't forget we have already received some of this money.

I'm going to leave it there as some of us did not get a chance to download the document and we don't really know if there are any ammendments to the document we have seen.

make no mistake phantom they will be extending the delivery period for d2d well into christmas and even on christmas week they tried some time ago to get us a 'sympathy delivery' of charity d2d's over christmas nearly 100% refused so they will and intend you doing them right up to the 24'th and you must always think you might be ousted and have a delivery of 600 + how will you feel when you have to do more for less ? open your eyes..............

Do they really expect to get a yes vote for this?????? surely even those who are wanting the lump sum will see they will lose money and vote NO.... come on its hardly rocket science, more D2D for less money no one in their right mind would vote yes would they???????

To be honest with you, it’s not really the delivery of D2D’s that’s the problem. It’s prepping the bastard things. It has to be the most repetitive, mind-numbingly boring job I ever done in my life.

Now it’s all very well saying that the time it takes to do this will be factored into our workload but you can almost guarantee that RM will impose an unachievable standard upon us. 1000 D2D items in 10 minutes (or something equally impossible)? Then what will happen is that we effectively end up doing them in our own time.

Are you serious??? How is this a step in the right direction and how is this an increase in D2D?

You have worked for RM for 16 years so Im guessing you get the early shift allowence so this means you are getting around £8 to deliver upto 6 D2D's

Its like me saying "right next week you are going to be earning £150 per week for working 40hrs a week BUT next year you will earn £200 per week"
(you will probably only see the £50 per week pay rise but wait a minute you took a pay cut to get it)

If I'm right (could possibly be wrong) i though we received colleague share in years 1 and 2.

D2D: I meant having D2D counted as workload was a step in the right direction, this could save full-time jobs.

I would be one of the loser when it comes to D2D that is on the basis of 3 items per week, but i don't get 3 items every week and i certainly don't get them paid for them 52 weeks a year, currently if i get £30 per week times 44 weeks (not taking any sick into account) this would get me £1320. if the agrremnet figure is right year 1 i would receive £1071 but i don't get 3 items every week.

All i am trying to do is be practical about what we have seen, I hope there is a different agreement but i don't think will be much difference to the one we have seen today.

Phantomshare you are forgeting about the £12.67 early shift payment paid 52 weeks of the year

On my part yes, as all i receive is £3 and a few pence 2007 network payment or whatever they named it.

No they wont. The agreement sort of say this wont happen.

RM dont allow you to place D2Ds inside each other at the moment so packing them up together will just make it easier for customers to throw them in the bin without looking at them.

My average for d2d payments (based on 2 per week for 44 weeks) is £18.50. Add this to the £12.37 ( network pay protection) = £30.87, so thats how much i lose per week with this deal.
But i will gain £20.60 weekly supplement and have to deliver d2ds an extra two weeks. So thats £10.27 a less week 10.27 x 52 = £534 take away £18.50 x 8 =£184 ( this is the 8 weeks i dont recieve any payment due al and xmas)

534 - 184 = 350

350 devided bt 52 = £6.73 less but i will get a 2% pay rise =£6.94- so i will get 21pence more a week than i do now!!
