part timers - time for us to fight

Hi part timers this is el cartero( a well known anti cwu guy because of there attitude towards part timers)

i would like to point out that this new agreement has been constructed in such a way that part timers are going to be crucified and victimised badly. Its completly full time(cwu members) Orientated.

They are going to force us to carry 6 d2d a week 100% and only pay us around £10 a week for that privalidge.

They are also going to give us a very small pie in any lump sum while FTs will recieve over £1000. Probably causing there YES vote.While we scream for NO.

This is mainly because alot of part timers are no union members so they think they can abuse this as they dont think we have a voice.They think we are a good way of offloading problems on to us. HAve you noticed your walk is much harder than full timers walks? thas because they offloaded work onto part timers walks in 2007 making the last deal get through nice and easily.
Have you ever talked to a full timer that constantly cant complete due to a well over walk. doubtfull.

Told we will never get a full time job is unnaceptable.

EDIT - There will be a new part timers union PFC ( that will challenge the CWU's decisions) and its free to be a member.
All we ask for is your full support - we are not fat cats and are not controlled by RM.

expecting us to prep and deliver d2d the same as fters do but pay us half the amount - is illegal

if u are a member of the union please start our fight by voting no.

any PRO cwu members that try to dystroy this thread just ignore it. full timers know whats happening to us but choose to support the CWU as they benifit from this .They will ignore us at work. we are basically the bitches of the office.

the CWU has proven to regard part timers a good way of making savings for royal mail not considering our rights and are prepared to challenge employment law to insure we are put into this situation.

If a CWU reprasentative would like to comment - would be welcome. Any idiotic and unhelpfull attacks are not.

i would warn all full timers to support there part timers fight because as we all know RM want everyone to be part time.
So this agreement may well effect themselves in a few years time.

I am also a part timer and a cwu member, i agree with you totally!!
Whatever the forthcoming agreement brings, at this moment in time we our treated like pariah by our full time colleagues.
Which seems to be activily encouraged by the Royal Mail management.

I'm a union member and always have been.

This "deal" is s**t for all of us, P/T, or F/T.....

We all need to stick together, I can't believe the full-timers will be any keener to vote this "deal" in than we are.

I do think that we, as part timers, are sometimes discriminated against, but we all need to work together to oppose this load of old flannel from CWU HQ/RM...

I dont go for all this full time/part time s**t it's bad enough being in this mess but to be in it divided is just playing into Royal Mails hands. The deal although I haven't seen it is a disgrace for all concerned but if we fight amongst ourselves defeat is inevitable.

You do a lot of moaning but it sounds like you can't even stand up for yourself, so it's hard to see you being much use fighting for anybody else.

Lets face facts, we all need to understand.
Part timer or Fulltimer We all work for the same company!!
We all walk the same streets, carry the same weight, take the same s**t!!
So there shouldn't be any diffirential in the deal.
The only difference is how long where given to complete, not what we complete as that theres no difference.

If you're so keen to have a different Union representing you. You should join one, and encourage others to do so. What you certainly SHOULDN'T be doing, is trying to undermine the Union which currently represents us.

i admit i might not have best skills etc to lead this campaign but u cant expect there not to be a back lash.

i appreciate all staff and i want fters to realise that what rm is doing is maxing out a s**t job which is PT.
