does your union drink with the doms??

our union go out drinking every friday with the dom, who most people cannot stand.... the dom in turn is able to quote things that you may have said, coincidence!!!! i think not, what can be done to get a bit of solidarity back within the union n then amongst posties??????

It's bad enough them going out for a drink.

A man who performed a 10-minute sex act on another man in public has been fined by magistrates.
Shocked witnesses, including a 90-year-old woman, saw the act take place in a Sunderland park in broad daylight, and one described how she felt "physically sick and disgusted".

Robert Spence, 45, has been fined by magistrates after he pleaded guilty to carrying out the indecent act.

Sunderland Magistrates' Court was told that at about 3pm on July 1, an 18-year-old care worker saw the defendant and another man entering bushes near the residential home.

A 90-year-old resident then rang a buzzer in her room and told the young carer she could see "two men in the bushes kissing each other".

The assistant manager of the home was called and a group reported seeing a 10-minute sex act carried out by Spence, before officers arrived on the scene.

In a statement read out to the court, the carer said: "I felt physically sick and disgusted from what I'd seen."

Spence initially told police he drank cider with the man and then took him to an area where he knew they could go to sleep.

He denied the offence and exercised his legal right for a crown court trial.

However, he changed his plea to guilty, saying he could not remember anything from that afternoon.

The court heard how the former Royal Mail worker was "disgusted" by the incident, which led him to turn his life around.

Spence spiralled into alcoholism after losing his job through ill health.
Downing a bottle of whisky a day, he ignored mounting debts until his home was repossessed.
Living on the streets, he became a target because of his pension, was regularly assaulted and had items stolen from him by other homeless people.

It was said that shortly after this offence, he was admitted to hospital and subsequently reduced his alcohol intake.

Spence, of Tatham Street, in Sunderland, pleaded guilty to outraging public decency and absconding and was fined £64, with £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

He was also given a nine-month community order, with supervision.
The second man, Darren Nixon, was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison at Houghton Magistrates' Court in December.

The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to offences of outraging public decency, stealing lager from Netto, assault, stealing a pedal bike, a theft from a sports shop, and breach of a conditional discharge for being drunk and disorderly.

Dunno if I can beat that one mate but our rep and his sidekick who is the CWU branch chairman are out every friday with RM manager who is an absolute bastard and his boss the DOM of our level in a wee pub in Belfast beside our delivery office, which dont help union spirit. Who knows there might be a bit of the other stuff goin on?

Rep at an office nearby used to drink with the cluster DOM, as did the area rep.

Rep now a manager....says it all really, doesn't it!

Confidence in the union has always been low, but drinking with managers is out of order. Next time you have a meeting ask him why he does it. In saying that our area rep does it to.

Pull the reins back lads not all reps are like this just a few bad apples that forget they are no better than the members it represents,and get above there station.

Listen mate this rep when out drinking with your DOM is letting everything out the bag about every person in your office and dishing all the dirt make no mistake about that.

Are you prepared to stand for rep will you get the backing from your fellow workers, and what do your fellow workers think about the rep and his relationship with your DOM.

If like you they are rather annoyed and you are prepared to stand for rep have a vote of no confidence in him and stand against him.

Get in touch with your branch and let them no you wish to stand against him and your reasons why. But if you are elected your current rep will then be the mole in the camp relaying at times vital info back to management so if elected choose your words wisely in front of this person .

Good luck buddy stand against him you will enjoy repping at times ,and hate it at others plus it gives you a great insight into many avenues you would never go down if you werent repping.

To have a vote of no confidence in him you must ring the branch and inform them and ask for a nominations form to be sent to your office. This goes up on your union notice board for 1 week you sign it and you get a seconder and a mover ,if its tied it will then go to ballot were the whole office will vote for who they think is fit .

Either your rep is fit to do the job or he isn't.
Who he drinks with is his business. His social life is surely his own.
Or did he sign that away when he became your rep??

I've turned down xmas dinner after hrs at our place for the last 2 years because management were going to be there,even 1 twat who was kicked out for being useless.
I've got standards,and i wash with one flannel.....
