Why cant Tuesdays be changed to a normal delivery day, and Saturdays changed to the short day?
If flats were put onto Tuesday for delivery, instead of on the Saturday surely this would work.

Six day weeks seem more appealing than five with 3pm Finnish from my point of view FECK FIVE DAYS LETS GO BACK TO SIX AND FINNISH BEFORE 1PM!.

There is absolutely no need whatsoever for postmen to be out on the streets delivering mail at 2, 3, 4pm on saturdays, unless every whim of Royal Mail executives is to be pandered to the utmost extreme.
The new workplan, devised by people who wouldn't know a day's hard graft if it was able to bite them on the ass, sucks.

Well we won five day weeks but not in the way all envisaged in the fullness of time we should all vote with our feet if this deal is a sellout for all who have other commitments on saturday after 1pm!.

when i first started it was a 6 day week with a 11o clock finish on a saturday,this allowed posties to do whatever they fancied afterwards.
we then moved to a 5 day week with a saturday off every week with a 12 30 finish on the ones we work still time for going to football etc bit now this crazy 3 finish will kill any enjoyment on a saturday.
this is a shocking move on the part of royal mail to antagonize the work force,the thing is union officials and royal executives will not be working on a saturday never mind finishing at 3 o clock.
everbody knows trying to get an agreement with management was going to be hard but surely this part of the deal could have been done better.

why not bring back the christmas DAY delivery as im sure NO ONE really wants to be at home on christmas day,

but the later saturday situation im worried about cos if royal mail offer say £1000 lump sum it will get passed (not by me mind) cos people look at the money first and DONT think of the future
