Is there anything in the New Agreement with regards collections???
It does seem to be geared towards deliveries.

We've yet to hear what is being proposed for processing and distribution.
Shouldn't be long now hopefully.

They will screw us collections over even more than the deliveries. have no fear on that one.
If there are later starts on the cards for early turn then we may as well kiss good bye to our jobs.
In my office we are already essentially part time since they moved the start times we can no longer get vans to do 12 oclock collections, so we have to take a walk out between us. If they take that off us we are only really working a 4 and half hour day.
Once the managers sort out what they are doing with the morning, i would safely say us collections staff are in the brown stuff.
As i have said to all my colleagues in collections, get a cross trainer with your lump sum and get training cos we are back on walks before the end of the year, and anyone that can honestly put there hand on there heart and say otherwise is a liar

When we talk about the new delivery model in my office, the only way that we will maintain a 75% full time quota will be a 9.00am to 5.00pm attendance or even 10 til 6, this will mean that the evening collections will probably be done at the end of a rurals duty, so there will be no need for the part time afternoon staff we have now. 
In a recent wtll session our DOM told us that within two years or so this will probably be the case. this was just after the "new delivery model" briefing all the Doms attended. It made me smile as he only told us half the story and the lads that come on here and myself filled in is blanks later.... on the quiet, Our Dom has threatened to conduct code anyone who spreads rumours in the past so we all tread carefully when he is around, only sometimes winding him up with the phrase well we heard this rumour that.....
If only we could go back to two deliveries a day the first leaving with all available mail at a reasonable time and then back for a proper meal break then out with the later mail and even packets too.
Life was so much easier before and it would solve a lot of the duty span difficulties and protect our full time jobs, as well as pleaseng the public.

do you think they will even have any evening collections, someplaces in wales have there final collection at 11am, ok they are in the middle of nowhere.
All they have to do is change the faceplates on the box and bang goes 6pm collections and as long as the box gets one collection a day its all legal.
They will have all the delivery staff doing the collections for sure, why do you think they are getting ready for the PDA's to be used to scan the boxes/collection points, its already an option on the sign-in menu on the pda.
Problem is the collection staff usually number less than deliverys in an office and are usually regarded as lazy, so why will everyone kick off when they have there duties cut, they like to bully the sections that have less staff just look at how little fuss was kicked off when nights have been got rid of in so many offices.
this is all scary stuff and i hope it doesnt come to anything but im not holding my breath.
