Been working in the callers office for some time and I have never known complaints to be so high.
In particular delays in mail arriving from England. Real testimony to the damage that has been done to the service by successive management 'Initiatives'.

Of course cuts. In each of the last five years my office has had a 5% cut in hours. We have less full time staff - office 55% full time 45% part time (most part timers working 40 hrs) and around 1500 new delivery points.
Something has to give.

Aye, I think you're right given his language like "It disnae seem tae matter whit national agreements say, ma Dom diz whit he wants. Been raised wi union till am blue in the face. Local reps are stoatting but glaiket higher up" but exactly where in North Britain we can't be sure.

one of my workmates did just that some time ago and was threatened with the conduct code. He' "too busy" to deal with customers (it earns him no bonus while cutting hours does)

As to geographical location I work North of Gretna and South of Inverness. Can't be too specific - had to change my user name since RM managers were quoting my postings on the site. It's not that I want to hide, just better they know nothing.

Had more complaints of a similar nature today -
!st class letter from Rickmandsworth posted 23 rd Feb not arrived
Two letters to different adresses, to a town 15 miles away, posted on Friday not arrived.
Parcels from Torbay and Cardiff posted last week not arrived.

Facts are chiels that winnae ding!

No callers complaints today, however parcels piled up to rival size o Ben Nevis so phone will buzz ramorra. And was sent out on delivery and callers office closed for two hours while Managers faffed aboot, so expect the worst.
