Agreement for Part timers?

I would rather have something in place for reserves. They are treated far worse than part timers are. I have tried to tell you a thousand times already that I would rather have your walk than be a reserve.

In fact since you are leaving soon, can I have your round? ....pretty please!?

(And yes I am a Part Timer Reserve! - but I can also WORK TO MY TIME!) which would solve the majority of your whines.

Also most of your problems are local,as we've said before you need to get onto your area rep.

With regard to part timers,time and time again i read on here that full timers turn their nose up at you lot,which is not on.
There seems to be a big divide which can only make things worse for all concerned.

As for FT/PT divide 99.9% of the problems are via ROYAL MAIL and not the staff, there is the odd tosser but mostly its the contract/managers not the colleagues.

im only telling u what i have to put up with as a part timer . in difference to what a stand in guy puts up with.

1. Has there been cases of reserves putting mail back into letter box's? ( never gets back to them as there on anther walk)/

2. Do they do the D2D they are supposed to do ?

AND THEN THEY WALK IN YEH MAN I CAN DO THAT WALK IN 3.5 HOURS TO THE DOM ETC...

The reason you are getting some grief is because you seem to think that the way you are being treated at your office is the same all over Royal Mail.

It isn't its worse in some places and better in others. To believe that what you see done at your DO translates to every PT FT, reserve, cover man, driver, DOM (or whatever you complain about) in Royal Mail is both parochial and frankly quite insulting (though I grant you that is not your intention).

Loads have tried to help you when you first started airing your problems but every piece of advice seems to be rebutted for various different reasons but ultimately all coming down to you not wanting to rock the boat.

We are entities on a computer we can only give you advice , it is your choice if you wish to take action and improve your lot, or if you want to keep taking the grief at work for all eternity. The Choice is yours after all. But remember if you are hard done at work please don't tar everyone on here with the same brush especially if your unwilling or unable to take the next step.

I do agree with el_cartero. Part time staff do get treated a lot worse, 75% of them would love to have a full time contract, work all the hours they can and still get shafted when it comes to holiday payments bonuses etc.. And i also agree with him about the reserves. Never do any d2ds and if they are 'forced' to then there is huge uproar amongst them, they return a lot of the mail that is awkward to deliver, and in my office it is common knowledge they take the killed off mail they have recieved out with them and put then back in a mail box for the duty holder to do, something needs to be done quick time otherwise there will always be a divide with not just part time full time, also full time/reserve staff. This agreement is going to change things, but nothing for the better, well done CWU x

How do you get treated worse just because you work less hours does not mean you are treated any worse only for less time we all get treated like sh!t in the new royalmail.

If i was treated unfairly weather i was pt or ft id do my job properly and cut off everyday untill they start treating me better. Well said if you were treated differently you could always put in a grievance against the manager.

as far as im concerened if nothing has been done abotu part timers or reserve part timers conditions .

then im still prepared to STRIKE.

its all about the full timers!!!!!!
