ODD DAYS OFF

IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF ODD DAYS YOU CAN BOOK OFF?
IE; I WANT TO SPLIT 2 WEEKS UP ,AND WANT TO BOOK AN ODD DAY HERE AND THERE AROUND MY NORMAL DAYS OFF.
GOT TOLD I CAN ONLY DO 5 ODD DAYS.
IS THIS CORRECT OR HAVE I BEEN TOLD A PORKIE !!

I suspect that 'operational needs/reasons' will come into play, so you may find that any odd days' leave you wish to take will be at DIM DOM's discretion. In our DO it is only one week maximum that can be broken down to odd days. You are still expected to give as much notice as possible when booking an odd day off.

I have a test and interview for the special constabulary on the 10th march. When i asked " if its not my day off can i take it as holiday" the reply was NO because they have the full amount of people off that week. When i said its just 1 day they still said NO. Is this right ?.

They should at worse give you special unpaid leave. Problem is you could have just as easy written the whole week off and gone on the sick self cert. They really do not help themselves do they?

Give as much as they give you back. Do no overtime for them if you do not need it, work to your time and give them it back in spades.

Yeah thanks, im always helping them out and i ask for 1 thing and its a NO NO. If i was one the if your face fits people then it would have been a YES.

our line managers cant even authorise anything in our office anymore, they probably even have to ask the DOM when they can go to the toilet :d'oh!
thats when the DOM is ever there :shhhhh

Our DOM has gone to another office and we now have 3 line managers and they all say ask one of the others when you ask a question.

IN OUR OFFICE THE MANAGER CAN ONLY MANAGE TO ARRANGE 2 WEEKS AT A TIME AND WE HAVE STILL NOT SORTED OUT OUR REMAINING 2 WEEKS HOLIDAYS
AND NOW IT IS MARCH! ALSO WE CANNOT GET ANY BIKES REPAIRED. ALL WE ARE TOLD IS THAT BIKES ARE BEING PHASED OUT. ANYWAY I AM USING MY OWN CAR AND WALKING. IF A POUCH BOX GOES U/S THAT TAKES AGES AS WELL TO GET MENDED. AND THEY WONDER WHY WE CALL MANAGERS. TAKE NOTE ANY MANAGERS READING THIS :sad:
