Assuming we get a a offer ,and it gets voted No or some thing similar,how about a new negotiating team.

2 Forum members Fishtank and Lincox speak so much sense,and are in tune with what many people I know are saying .

I am sorry to say Dingo although only a messenger seems to agree with longer walks, And Increase in D2D we need people at the top who represent the guys on the ground .

Why not get Kirsty and Phil from Location Location Location. They always seem to get results.
And Kirsty is better looking than Fishtank and Lincox.

Longer walks ie above 3.5 hours and more D2d in the workload would protect fulltime jobs!

I do belive that there is another way to protect full time work without longer delivery spans....revert to the pre 2004 model with 3.5 hour delivery spans everyone returns to the office for either asap or second delivery.

RM would argue that it's unaffordable....fall in traffic...etc. so we would have to challenge those assertions.

2x 2 hour deliveries with break inbetween i might go for. 5 hours even split up is still going to be very tough physically.

That I think would be the best solution, especially if FT is going to be 35hrs a week.....that would leave 2hrs for IPS, prep, etc.

But it would mean massive job losses and a huge increase in workload .
Not using cars , not coming in early ,taking your meal relief ,not cutting corners and a 35 hr week would protect fulltime and p/t jobs!

At the time the second delivery was abolished it was because the amount of mail not reaching the D.Os for first delivery was diminishing, and had become unsustainable. Now with the arrival of modernisation, walk sequencing and the closure of mail centres means some of the mail will reach the D.Os later, surely the only real solution is the re-instatement of the second delivery, taking all the mail ready out on first, sorting,prepping and delivering everything else second time over the ground, of course one reason RM wont go for this is would need to re-introduce early starts and cost.

We are writing it off on the basis of whats being said by the truth, lovejoy and dingo....who all claim to have an insight as to whats in it. Hopefully they are wrong.

I'd say the way this young mans going he'll be pushing plenty of trolleys around.........outside f***ing asda carpack LOL
