have to agree strongly with this. it's stupid not to keep people informed if you then want them to back you in what you're trying to achieve. loads of rumours flying about the office, and half the people aren't even aware there's talks going on. regular updates should be sent out to keep members from being apathetic, and to avoid knee jerk reactions when the deal is finally agreed. if ever.

It seems the main complaint from all the membership is lack of communication and that is right down to root level but do we expect more ?? i suspect it is for the following reason's

Move 1 RM make a proposal in secret
move 2 Union reject ( without telling us what it was )
Move 3 RM make a proposal in secret
Move 4 Union accept move 1 telling us it would of been worse had they not negotiated it

Its not rocket science but it keeps them in a job !!

Yes the aint telling us enough and because of this they know theres gonna be a rumour mill and it doesnt bother them.

They acted as bad as RM when it comes too letting us know whats going on but in truth they always been the same they seem to create there own problems by behaving this way.I gotta get my info from John The Ninja at work and he just makes stuff up for the crack

(He would probley say the same of me)Would it surprise any of us if the talks had broken down coz we all suspected that this was all a front from RM to get through the XMAS pressure anyway and once they did cause loads of bother so Billy n co call the talks off without explaining why and make themselves look like dicks in the media when we go out again.

To be honest since the day we went back to work in my office the management have totally and utterly undermined the interim agreement in any which way they can with the cutting of overtime and employment of S**b casuals to combat the strikes then not getting rid of them and telling us we wouldn't profit from strike( which is also a blatant breach of The Way Forward agreement) being just one example.When telling my repps at work we shouldn't be standing for that kind of crap they just said well we cant do nothing as it would affect the national agreement even though it was RM who walked all over it 1st P.S. that aint a dig at my repps coz there hands are totally tied by the big boys in the smoke and in my opinion they arent given the propa backing to fight the good fight locally coz we aint based in London.

If the talks had broken down it really wouldnt suprise me at all.How about you lot ?? SORRY FOR THE LONG POST

That's bollox,national agreement talks have nothing to do with being shat on in your office,if management are playing up it should be sorted!
