Aint had one of theses for a while so here goes.
MANAGEMENT not US are recording traffic figures in parts of London,and my office's figures are 10% down on what the MC tells us.

In my office we are recording the flat's this, should the rep not be involved in this kinda thing, anyone have any guidance on how to deal with this

In our postcode area DOs are supposed to count Yorks, trays of mail and flats. The only problem is that the mail and flats come mixed on Yorks so no accurate count is viable without dismantling every York containing trays! So it is the usual guesstimate of the quantity. Whether it is guess work or an accurate count our DO figures always differ radically from what we have actually received from the MC. Invariably we record more mail entering the DO than left the MC 
Yet another paper exercise for RM to use and abuse as it sees fit, alongside keeping the backroom staff in full-time employment at RM HQ while posties are clinging on by their fingernails to their own full-time jobs!
