will my leave stretch further on the 4 day week?

With talk of the 4 day week being made available nationally in the new agreement I was wondering if my annual leave will stretch further if I only work 4 days a week.
I currently get 23.5 days a year. On a 5 day week this gives me 4 weeks + 3.5 days leave.
If i'm on the 4 day week does that mean my 23.5 days will give me 5 weeks and 3.5 days due to me only using 4 days for a weeks leave?

I'm not sure. someone told me your leave might be adjusted pro-rata. can anyone let me know. cheers?

If your on 4 day week 1 week=4days 6 weeks=24 days
If your on 5 day week 1 week=5days 6 weeks=30 days

Nice try GHOSTman. But if your theory was correct, don't you think everybody would be banging on the DIMs door, begging to go on a 4-day week ?

You still get the same TOTAL leave entitlement, in terms of days. They just show it as 4/5ths of what a 5-day week person would get, I think.

London are going through the motions to get their 4 day weeks back,once that is sorted,that should be used as a blue print for the rest of the UK.

apparently we're going to be looking at it in work time learning next week, and finding out people's preferences for different working hours. fingers crossed for this too, i could happily do four ten hour days.

When the 4 day week was first discussed after the 2007 agreement, I asked if part time staff would be offered it. Guess what...No.
So, if an office goes to a 4 day week, will the part timers still have to work 5 days?
I don't want to turn this into a f/t versus p/t post, but why should any part timer vote to accept this when it is of no benefit to them? Part timers are treated shamefully by RM, and usually forgotten by the CWU, but make up an increasing number of CWU members, so where is the carrot for them, we've already had the stick.
