I ordered a pair of Caterpiller shoes in November and have just found out I'm likely to be waiting at least another month.

I phoned uniform helpline to order another make as my need is getting pretty urgent now.

I was told that there are absolutely no shoes available in size 8 whatsoever !!!!!

Pretty incredible I reckon :sad:

have a word with your dom and see what he says. you might be able to buy a pair and get reimbused for them although that might affect his fiscal policy and bonus .

Slightly off topic but related I feel, what happened to that new uniform of red jackets and black trousers that was being trialled, or did I dream that, about 2 years ago.

They have size 11 magnums but that doesn't help as I also need a size 12 which they don't have as I have odd sized feet.
IF it ain't broke it soon will be if RM have their way

it is simple, if they don't have your size, see your dom and he should give you £30 to buy your own, just make sure you get a receipt.

I phoned up last week for another pair of CAT trainers, told the end of March. Not sure I want CAT's anymore they don't last long, they said I could have Magnums, ha ha no kin way! I expect DM shoes are going to take to long to wear in and rip my feet to bits to start with. :cuppa

Not London AFAIK - I thought it was supposed to be Sussex.

New uniform is on trial in Haywards Heath West Sussex.

A little tip for the dm shoes,get a pair of scissors and cut about 5 or 6 slits in the tongues, they do'nt dig in at all after doing that and it seems to ease the pressure off the heel as well.

I emailed the bloke on the Royal Mail website who was banging on about there being no need for anyone to wear non RM issue shoes anymore.

I was told that the lady at Uniforn Helpline was wrong to say there were no shoes available in my size and I would receive my pair of 'Cats' this week or next week.

Been waiting since september for CAT trainers.

Cancelled the order in December as was told no stock till Feb.

Ordered DMs instead. Told no stock till april.

Told magnums as the only other option but they only have larger sizes.

Been through 3 pairs of my own shoes since.

Went to the circus and bought some clown shoes. Billed DOM £30.
