NO. All muscle gainers are just garbage. A complete change of diet, plenty of fruit, veg, fish. If your thinking of toning up/or getting big creatine is your best bet, its great for getting round on your walk, gives you loads of energy. Oh yes these muscle gainers/ shakes are only of any use after a good workout and by that i mean the gym not your walk lol.

4 hours plus a day = we are probally overtraining and our bodies don't get enough time to recover.Think of how great you feel after a weeks holiday (bet you feel fit as f**k) Then that come down after a couple of days, knowing your're going to have to be knackered everyday for another couple of months till the next one. :Sick Then again im in my forties now

Re, Creatine...I'd say don't touch it. I'm sure there was a Health Scare about this a few years back. Google it to see.

Creatine is probably only "beneficial" for explosive, fast and powerful actions, as it's Creatine Phosphate that is responsible - amongst other things - for this type of activity.
So...If you're running 100mt sprints, pumping 90% of your body weight, it "may" worK.

Get some frozen mixed fruit, a bit of orange juice and maybe ice cream, and stick it in a blender. Low fat, med calories, high fibre, lots of vitamins...Lovely!!!

You need a proper diet as well as protein supplements, weetabix when you get up, protein shake with a scoop of porridge before you commence delivery, pasta for dinner, another protein shake, main meal, weight program, protein shake, and weetabix/porrdige again before bed. Take on board plenty of water through the day, hydration is the key. Avoid sugar like the plague.

Only do weight resisitence on the same muscle every 48 hours so have a set routine on a Monday and a different one on a Tuesday, Wed rest, Thursday as Monday, Friday as Tuesday, rest Sat and Sun.

I use True Whey available at http://www.myprotein.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Protein is vital for muscle building, you need to replace it quickly after exercise, otherwise your body will burn muscle, rather than fat, and your exercise will show for nought.

I only started 3 weeks ago to get rid of a slight podge, and I'm stronger already and the podge is in recession, my legs dont feel half as tired when I finish delivery now.

Oh and avoid creatine for the moment if you want it that will come later on.
