Has the national agreement regarding delivery spans being no longer than 3.5 hours now been ditched?

If this agreement is still a working policy then under what circumstances can it be ignored and what limit on the delivery span (if any) can be introduced?

well if the agreement is still in place then technically we deliver for 3 and a half hours then go back to the office and if thats before our time do some sorting untill our time. At the moment we dont have to deliver more than 3.5 hrs but that will probably change

As soon as those NASA space suits arrive. You can then sort, prep and remain out on delivery for days on end without ever having to nip to the bog!

3.5 hrs delivery span is still in place, hasnt been changed and no plans to alter it..... If your in a van its longer though, think its 5hrs if a van is part of the duty - hence the hidden agenda behind park n loop

AFAIK, it is only 4hrs for a rural - the extra 30 mins on the delivery span to cover the increased conveyance time ( 15mins e/w )....3.5hrs town & 4hrs rural ( and remember kids, that's from walking out the office door to walking back through the door )

You can never have exactly a 3.5 hour delivery. On Mon & Tues & Sat it will be 2:45 to 3. On Wed-Fri it will be nearer 4 hours.

Why are people so fixated with the span. Time is Time. You either claim or cut off if you go over.

The point being that the deliveries, even if different on different days, should be planned on 3.5 hours. This means that you can and do get deliveries ranging from 2:45 to 4:00 but if they increase planned deliveries to 4 hours this will mean in reality deliveries taking anywhere from 3.15 to 4:30 or even 4:45 depending on the volume. Thats why people dont want deliveries planned beyond the agreed 3.5 hours without safeguards and weight off the shoulder agreements in place.

3.5hrs including conveyance time - if you don't believe me, ask your rep to show you the agreement in writing where you must do over 4.25hrs - if he blusters and bullsh*ts, go over your rep's head & ask your area rep, ask your branch rep, and failing that, get in contact with HQ - and if he says anything about a local agreement, ask area, branch or national how you can disagree with it, especially if he did not consult with the members before agreeing it.

Well they consulted our Reps right enough - the week after the 9 extra vehicles arrived, our reps were told to use the Durham model by area and div and no info from HQ until 6 months later when it was a NO Agreements ??????????????????? bit late we'd already been at it for 6 months - now 16 months and it still doesn't work because they are too big.

The 3.5 hours is 1st letter to last letter, not conveyancing that is extra time.
