WTL says D2D's must be done in own time!

Here is a copy of our Work time learning from last week, we never had the meeting we just got handed the sheets. Looks like more management propaganda?

D2D's have always had to be done in your own time, not as part of your duty time. This is because you get paid extra to deliver them. So prepping and extra time to deliver these are separate. I don't mind doing them as you can earn another £150pm on top.

Could be that anyone who has started early but not signed in might not be covered by insurance.

Ask your manager if D2Ds are compulsory.

If he says yes then tell him its illegal to force OT.

If you choose to deliver 100% in one day or any other figure higher than 20% per day then you cannot claim overtime.

If your D2D's take an extra (X)amount of time, are you entitled to cut off, if they take you over your paid hours? Bringing back 20 or so addresses every day wouldn't go down well I'd guess.

This arguement has been on this site before and I am sure Postman or TBT will provide links later.

Tell them that their WTL sheet is illegal and that you are going to see a solicitor as you are being forced to work outside of your contracted hours. The WTL sheet states that your d2d must be made up in your own time which means that RM are forcing you to work outside of your hours or that d2ds are voluntary and therefore you do not have to deliver them.
Get him to clarify
If D2D's are compulsory then they have to make time within your contracted hours to prep them.
You have your manager by the b*lls with that sheet mate as that is defo illegal and can be taken further.

Why cant my manager produce a wtl sheet like that as it would be a case of bye bye manager

It is illegal to force people to do unpaid work.

The money made from D2D's goes to the person who DELIVERS them, not the person who preps them, therefore, a delivery only round gets paid for the d2d's, not the person who's prepped them into the frame.

So it is illegal to force the person who preps them (and doesn't get paid), to do it in their own time.

Now, back to your cotton field.

Does this mean that I dont have to deliver D2D's then? I dont want to work anymore than my contracted hours and RM cannot force me to do so. If I prep my d2ds it WILL be done within my duty time. If I am late because of delivering d2ds, I WILL claim OT otherwise I wont deliver them again. Their choice

I actually thought this was a wind up,how unprofessional is that document,in the only and existing agreement
regarding D2D's it states..."sufficient time will be given for the preparation and delivery of door to door items
within normal duty span"

if you open the link it is royal mails own procedure and policy,i think it's no surprise that with agreement close
to increasing the product,managers are wary that trying to prep 20% will present problems,and are trying to 'cover'
themselves.
