If your to ill to travel, dont. Tell him/her this. Ask them to come to see you at home if its that important. Chances are they will have an excuse not to.

I am sure someone will be along to put you straight but basically i think they probably can ask you in for a chat, just as they can ring you every day if they wish because they will say that it is out of concern for you. However if you are too ill to travel then they will have to call or visit you. They may offer you a consultation with atos, or light duties anything that might help your recovery and get you back to work sooner. Basically we are still being paid by them and its a two way thing, hes got to do whats expected from him by his bosses and weve got to be firm and honest over what we can do.Dont be afraid of him, just tell it like it is. Im saying this as im off sick myself and theres no way i could do light duties. I know what its like because our last dom was appalling and people really felt harrassed when they were off. Im very lucky our new dom is human. Why not take someone in with you? a union rep or friend if youre still worried. Good luck

Yes thats happened in our office in the past. If you cant do a walk then theres nothing going. All you can do is offer, if theyd rather you sit at home then so be it, dont put your health at risk by going back on delivery too soon you also run the risk of another stage warning if you go off again .

Well I have been off since October , waiting for Atos to get things sorted and I had a letter from my Dom asking me to come in. When I went in he was ok , just wanted to sort out what was best for me, as end of March I go on half pay. I told him Atos had sent him the report , which he did not have. I told him what Atos had said to me, that the report contained only their report from their Doctor. Because my GP report got lost in the post , ops, lol and the replacement arrived to late to include. They did not even ask my Neuro for a report. So my Dom referred me back to Atos for a new referral , so am awaiting them to get things right this time So seeing the Dom should not be a problem , be honest and upfront .

Atos advised my dom over 18 months ago that I should only do 3 days a week on delivery and 2 days indoors on light duties due to my nuerological problems that I have got, guess what I do 5 days on delivery where as people with a sniffle get light duties all the time, we have got one guy who hasn't been on delivery for over a year now cos he has a sore shoulder, it all depends on who you are, to me atos reccomandations aren't worth the paper they are printed on

I'm off work ill just now. My manager has asked me to attend the office on Tuesday to discuss my absence.
Looking for advice from anyone who's been in that situation.

Surely not enforcable??

My honest advice would be to attend if possible (if doing so does not exacerbate the condition) but contact the local or area Delivery Rep and ask their advice and for them to attend the meeting with you.
