It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

im all stairs and often get items returned with deliver as adddressed, read the address etc
what they dont realise is the address doesnt exist and i have made a judgement
eg 14/7 becomes 7/14 as there is no building 14
ive not been unknown to knock someones door if they write anything cheeky on an envelope
last one was the one who wrote 'try reading the address you F'ing idiot'
not so mouthy face to face though

It's when they send it back when all the address is correct apart from the postcode and write in big bold writing "NOT MY POSTCODE DELIVER TO CORRECT ADDRESS" that winds me up!!!

Or when the name is wrong but the address is correct.

I cover a different walk basically everyday of the year how the eff am I supposed to know who lives in your house you could have a family of Romanians in your closet for all I know!

WE DELIVER AS ADDRESSED NOT AS NAMED!
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

I used to love the ones addressed to Mr. or Mrs. xxx OR occupier, which came back not known at this address (especially the TV Licence ones) - back in they went the next day AND the next and so on til they got the message or gave up :chuckle

I have seen some funny ones over the years , ones describing in detail where the letters needs to be delivered , ie the red house down the lane next to the waterworks etc.. The best was name , town and a phone number, why they not ring it themselves lol

God thats annoying when they do that! I put a kill off sticker over the area they've written and then rip it off (plaster style) that usually removes the writing and a thin layer of envelope....they'd be none the wiser :chuckle
