Is it fair a worker who is up too speed gets given more work while a slow worker gets left alone and finishes after there time everyday.There should be a independent person going out on walks and training a slow worker too get them up too speed.

yes its perfectly fair ask the person who is quicker to do job properly
and dont say they do cos we all know the the way it happens if your flying round your delivery,
hell mend you. pity the poor person who does job right.

some people realy need to get a grip imagine shopping in your comrade for being slow
thats the society the bosses and upper class love fight amongst ourselves while they sit at top table and

Slow worker, comes in on time, follows all ROYAL MAIL's health and safety rules,does the job correctly, makes very few mistakes.

So in answer to your question, the fast worker get the same amount of work but the fast worker runs round to make time therefore if he is seen to have spare time on his duty because of this then yes he should get more work.

We are not on a performance bonus. We are paid to work a certain amount of hours in a day. If you finish early then you deserve and can expect extra work.

But i know two posties that come in the same time.One is finished on time with extra work.The other one has no extra work but gets done 45 mins after they are paid.

You cant fit a pint into a half pint glass so dont even try. Up to speed i mean back on time eg 1.55pm not 2.40pm.

No it's not fair, this happens on a regular basis in our office.

After the geo-route farce failed in our office most walks were again looked at to try and re-balance them fairly. So the people responsible for the geo-route planning asked the opinions of the duty holders to see what streets should go on which should come off. The result of this is also a farce, some 3 hour duties have stayed the same, 3.5 hr duties have had bits added on.

But it seems the posties with the 3hr duties are the ones who deliberately drag their feet, take breaks on their walk, then get back to the office late to book extended, on the other hand the grafters get shat on who seem to do a honest days work.

So yes, i think an independent person should, throw off a walk, prep it , then deliver it - on light days, and on heavy days over a period of time to calculate the correct span. This would be time consuming but would be fair.

I don't know anyone who would be out on the street longer than they had to.
It's enough of a fight to get paid the overtime you are due without trying to justify overtime for "dragging your feet".
There has always been a difference in walk lengths as far as i can remember.
But EVERYONE thinks their walk is longer than anyone elses.
