New Delivery Span!?

Got a WTL session this morning and were told we are being moved up to a 5hr delivery span!
Template built on an East Belfast D.O. Goes along the lines of 30mins IPS! One hr prep! 25min tie up! Out for nine! Then onto a 5hr walk, whistling as we go .
Anybody out there from same office fill in the blanks or even any other office moving to the same plan.

One question....How do you prep a 5hr walk in 1 Hr.

Exactly my response but CWU rep and LM says it can and will be done,as i say using EB DO as a template for all of us to adhere to. Case of if they can, U bloody well can!

Dead by the end of week, more like after a couple of days. I'm just imagining a 60+ postie doing a five hour delivery, , in fact i better include a 20+ postie. Can't wait until my office starts 5 hour delivery.

It's a complete wind up.
The figures don't even add up.
How much IP can you do in 30mins.?
How much prep can you do in 1 hr.?
No-one will agree to a 5hr Del span so unless they plan to implement it by executive action it's not really likely is it.

If there is no agreement achieved and this is brought in through executive action, then a letter to every MP who is a minister in the insitu government, informing them that ultimately they are responsible for the wellfare of THEIR employees and we hold them directly and personally responsible for any health problem that can be directly related to the instructions that are being laid down contrary to the health and safety legislation, and implemented by their management team that they have hired to carry out their corporate agenda.

My office had big duties put into it last year, 5 plus hours but they where classed as rurals so we couldn't do anything about it, we are now in the middle of a revision but the DOM has put in a new savings plan which will cut the office by another 200 hours, we can't cope now so I doubt we will cope in the future with these cuts (he said sequencing will be in by october but until then we just have to absorb).


BTW in the same meeting he said that a tray now only contains 122 letters

Ahh bless em. Next year it'll only hold 50 you'll see...

Just tell him it can hold 10 for me but once my time comes off I go home...

This really is getting out of hand.. No matter how much we strike, no matter how many negotiations there are, no matter how many DESPATCHES programmes there are, the outcome is always the same.... MORE delivery points and LESS hours.. Anyone get that feeling??????????????????? Im f****d already!
