Definately get a grievence in, and demand your OT, if he refuses, ask him to put in writing why ( and pray that he writes "Because I said no unagreed OT would be paid, during the WTLL meeting that took place on ...." then you can ask for proof of your attendance at that meeting - you should sign to say you attended if you were there - and then he can't provide that proof....I know that's unlikely to happen like that, but some are stupid enough to have me living in hope! )
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

The thing is these are part timers and they need the wage the job but for any full timers if managers refuse to pay O/T we must make our stand in time it may well help the part time workers gain hours jobs and all a better place too work!.

ask him to produce the signing on sheets for the wtl session to show you were not present when he made his announcement ( if he does not have any his problem he should)

then you can reasonably state that as you had not been advised of this latest instruction ( and had not received a written version of the wtl as you should if you haven't attended) then you could not be expected to know you had to inform him, and that he is due to pay your overtime

add that as you are now aware you will of course inform him if you think you will go over ( err on the side of caution if you think you might then tell him so use your best estimate)

If he refuses after this ask for that in writing and see your rep and his boss!

He cannot reasonably expect you to have followed an instruction you were never given

I'm PT as well - don't want to be, but I am. However, dave0876 has done the OT, but his DOM is trying to pull a fast one.....either the DIM is told plainly and firmly to stop effing around, or his DUM will continue to think that he can continue playing silly buggers, and with more PTs than just dave0876 - we should all stand together and help everyone get what they equally deserve, it's a great aspiration ( and it has my support - how can I help? ).....but right now, dave needs advice to stop himself getting the shaft, and that's what I offered initially ( although I did go on a flight of fancy to the end ).

Cheers fedup - that's what I tried to say, and how I should have said it :Applause :Applause :Applause

What about unforeseen circumstances and delays of resupply as well as return to office delays!.
