i know its been asked many times before but what is the allowed break time for a 25 hour contract postie, 5 day week..

Its debatable, I say 30 mins.

It is 20 min as the way forward agreement is 5 hours and 1 min for 30 minutes break time.

It's something our union recommends taking during work times, on health and safety grounds. Also so fliers can't finish early and cause extra-workload on people who like to do the job properly.

No its 5 hours, not 5 hours 1 minute.
5 hours to 7 hours = 30 mins
or
3 hours 31 to 4 hours 59 = 20 mins

No need to be sorry! I used your logic as well that the 5HRs = contract time but people say that should not include a meal relief in itself. The agreement is flawed(like lots of other parts of it) as it does not set out what "attendance length" actually means. Is it contracted time?

The way forward agreement is a flawed agreement but is at least an agreement and not a surrender like the pay and modernisation agreement was and still is!.

Re reading the agreement the chart is only to be used for part timers and people without scheduled attendance (just not 40HR full timers, thats 40M). So it does include the facility to be contracted time. Since the original poster is contracted 5 hours a day, it looks like they should take the full 30 mins allowance.

Quick question,6hrs SA as you're covering a rest day for a part timer every week,would I be entitled to a break?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
