Problem is the lies and the over inflated egos have got in the way of running this company,managers in all their ugly way's i don't care what grade they have been or were they have lied about figures and what staff did as a duty,take for instance when we had 2 delivery's what they did in the office i'm based at is tell them that all the staff were back by 09.30,lier's they were not they had made the delivery bigger so you could not get back at that time unless you cut corner's.They used hours that should have been used for sorting for anything that was not sorting,like taking 2nd delivery's out.
They say there is less mail about and that at least 85%of mail is put through a machine,lie no2, it's not try 65-67% and then they go and revise an office work plan to fit that lie then wonder why delivery's are failing,lie no3 is that they alter tray fill levels and then come out with the mail is falling back,no doubt that there is a little less about but not enough to warrent what they have come out with,try asking the postal staff that walk the streets and they will give you honest answers,they are not the one's that have anything to hide.
The biggest laugh is that the business is turning it's back on what is going up,that is the packet traffic it is going up as more of us turn to internet shopping why because alot of us are working longer hour's and don't have the hour's to spend in the high street,most of us hate it in the town shopping any way.
To say they are feeling the pressure well thats what they get paid for they try to pressure us to achieve the unachievable to do these delivery's in 3.5hours when in the real world they are 4-5hrs,to walk at an un-realistic pace,so do you or i feel for them,i have to say NO,while they sit there getting bigger in size we loose weight no problem,we have joint injury due to over working our joint's and carrying weight,do they get sun burnt in the summer because they are in the mid day sun,not through working! only drinking in the pub and spending time slapping each other on the back for a job well cooked,so as one other said.They Rep what they have sown!
He's even asked us to try and work out how the cuts can be achieved
