"Free" letter today, hand delivered!

Got me a nice letter from our office, reminding me of the procedures to undertake with regards to Sick Leave. Nice of them to be thinking of me...
( Accident at home, so no doubt "Mr Stage Warning" being warmed up as we speak. )
But with head X rays, 7 painkilling injections, oh...and Tetanus booster...20 skull stitches, two black eyes, swollen nose, there's been no call to ask "How are you?"

Well, they must have been thinking of "ME" otherwise, why did they send me the letter?

Never mind pet--we're thinking of you, get well soon! Expect no mercy from our kind caring employers though!Without being morbid, the only time I see them put on a caring face is when they attend one of our poor workmates funerals. Better not come to mine if i die on the job,,they will not be welcome!

I'm having both me hips replaced on Friday, my manager had me in his office today and told me that while I'll be getting the first letter, he won't be sending me the weekly letters as he knows it will be a longish recovery....

He also told me he wouldn't really be considering issuing a StageOne!!!! Yeah. I said WOULDN'T! he said as the op was necessary to ensure I can continue to work there was no reason for a stage warning in his eyes.....

Obviously there's still time for the Area manager to get to him and persuade him otherwise.....

But at the moment, I'm shocked and impressed, he's only been manager for a couple months or so, but seems a bit fairer than any we've had before....Might not last..

The way that stage warnings are handed out are sickning!

A colleague about five years ago had a motor bike accident, could of been killed. Luckily enough he came out of it quite well with just a few bumps and scrapes, but was issued a stage one warning.

RM don't care if your dead or alive, just as long as your in work.

The only reason they'd be attending your funeral is to make sure you don't suddenly 'wake up' and come back to work....................come to think about it that'll be the same for me (I expect them to be standing over my coffin with a wooden stake in hand 'just to be sure' ).

Had op last year which triggered stage . Even stated on absense as operation , at interview " suppose you needed it" ????
