Why have we tape players in vans its 2010 for christs sake.

I drive a 2007 combo with a ruddy tape player.I am getting a new van in july and I just wondered if anyone new what new vans are being rolled out and do they have a cd player.

I receive my new combo in 2 weeks it has cd player but only has 1 passenger seat i normally pick people up but cant now

The 2 new vans that have arrived in our yard are BIPA by name,you have to see them to believe it they are really really small,you would have trouble getting a delivery and packets in them let alone a collection,they have heated front screens,CD players,reversing bleepers which warn if anyone or anything is on the rear of the van,but for RM very modern.

No offence but how do you have time to listen to tapes/cds in the vans I go in and out of the van, never spending more than 15 minutes in the van (a bit like my sex life ) so I don't see how you could even listen to a cd in that time.


PS. with the bunch that I work with I wouldn't want to leave my cds in the vans

PPS. in this day and age they should be putting a post in so that i could plug in my Ipod.

We've 1 oldish Maxus van at work that has a CD/Radio that you can plug your mp3/ipod into. The other week I used a 58 plate Vauxhall that had a cassette player in it

The new vans are the vauxhall vivaro (the big one) and the peugeot bipper (the little one).

Can you still get Car Radios that are just that - a Radio only, or do they all now come with cassette/CD player, MP3 Input, Bluetooth, Tea Maker and a device for getting stones out of the horses hooves?

A 2007 van & gettin a new one in July, lucky git! I drive an 05 combo wi 81,000 miles on clock & still no sign of it being replaced soon
p.s. i do play tapes in it sometimes on my rural coll

I can beat that, i drive a 55 maxus with 155,000 on the clock with a cd/ radio that no-one in our garage can be bothered to try and get the radio to work as it has code error on it. p.s I drive 94 miles a day on a collection.

The only thing i can say park and loop might be coming to us all but the 2 van things that we have belong to the collection side the bent and battered vans with 3 wheels on belong to the DO,collection staff have plenty of time because they spend most of their time sitting in traffic.

Thank you. I've been complaining about the lack of a cd player for ages (my 07 van has a cassette player of course) . I now use this cassette adapter thing for use with my ipod shuffle

Always a way round i can remember when we only had radios and we had bent coat hangers because they never could pick a signal up and then when we got an adapter that went into the ciggie lighter and then we plugged a tape player into it,hey how times have moved on
