Why I love Fliers.

Post by clashcityrocker »

Nearly every thread eventually has a post putting down the fliers in their office.
But I like them.Compare:
Them: Usually happy.Able to do a 3.5hr delivery in just under 2 hrs.
Go home and bang their girlfriend twice - without stopping.
Go out and play 5-a-side football and go for drinks after and get up the next day and do it all again.

Me:f***ing tired.Twice during the xmas pressure my wife woke me because I was face down in the mashed potato at teatime.
In a complete reversal of roles my 6yr old daughter puts me to bed at 8pm. (sings a lullaby and tucks me in).

But for a few hours every morning I can live my life vicariously and imagine what life would be like if I was 200 years younger.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The union should be fighting for the right to work as fast or as slow as you want, as long as the job is done by your finish time! Everyone is different and you cant expect staff to be robots!! :nana

I think that union would have a lot of members.

Thank goodness for microwave meals otherwise somedays we would never eat in our house because I'm too tired to cook. I'm in bed before the kids. Only another 20+ years until retirement
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

To hijack my own thread:
I bought some Cadburys Smash recently partly because I was astonished it still existed and then to see if my wife could remember the advert.
If you are in your forties you surely will as she did:The alien robots
"They peel them with their metal knives and then they smash them all to bits"
It was probably the best advert ever. Except....
Once in France I saw an advert for Perrier in which a ladies hand "masturbated" the neck of a Perrier bottle until it "ejaculated".
I believe it was banned here.
