Not sure if this is the right place. But could anyone tell me when booking leave how many week's can you book together for your first choice. thanks.

We get 2 weeks to book
then the next 2 weeks then odd days after that

Depends on local agreements on how leave is booked. At my DO the whole year is open to selection straight away and conflicts are sorted out before the leave year starts. One of my colleagues took his whole entitlement in one go a few years back.

At other offices though they operate systems where people choose leave within certain blocks so that everyone has an equal chance of getting a summer and winter break. Even under this system though there should be flexibility and the opportunity for people to swap leave periods with the agreement of the manager concerned.

So to be honest their is no answer that we can give it all depends on local management and local agreements.

But is there a min and a max you can have in your first choice. after 32 yrs I was today told I can only have 2 wks of my first choice. If thats the rule then fair enough, but i've been having 3 wks in one go for yrs now. I would just like to know if it's right or can you have 3 wks together.

Check with the rep to see if an agreement has been made that accepts limits to leave selection, if not then without a new agreement I would say "Custom and Practice" from previous years holds the field.

As TBT says it will depend on your local agreement.
In my MC you can book a minimum of one week and a maximum of six weeks (plus any odd days/deferred leave etc), as long as it is in the winter period.
During the summer period between 1 June - 1 October the maximum you can book on one signing is 3 weeks, though you can make it 4 weeks altogether, with the second signing.
I think people with children under 15 can book 4 weeks together during the school holiday period.
