Mail Volume figures put to the test and failed!!

I heard recently ( I cannot reveal my sources If I did I would have to K*ll you afterwards to protect their identity) that several sites across the country have been auditing the Traffic figures as per the interim agreement.

The best news for RM was that One Office was only underestimated by 9%

However..the rest went up in scale up to a massive 49% underestimated/Under counted!!

So If your office budget is set with reference to your traffic figures..we should all be seeing between 9% and 49% increase in man hours etc.....

A consistent 30% underestimate in my DO, and of course the budget and projected savings will be determined by this make believe figure. sorry being too noisy again

Tman will say the same as he's always said, namely RM traffic figures don't come from DOs, but from mail processed through MCs, and whatever figure someone guesstimates is being sent to Much Halfwits-in-the-Marshes DO means nothing as that mail has already been counted.

Not too difficult a concept to grasp, surely?

Tman how can it mean nothink to the DOS as it allready been counted in mail centers.

Surely this must count if the figures are wrong for the DOS just because its been counted in the MCS doesnt mean thats the be and end all of corrupted figures.

If we at DOS find our count is different to the MCS and if it is the case office budgets are set againt the figures we have a case to argue do we not.

Far to long now i have been saying to my DOM that the figures are incorrect we know how much we are sorting and carrying on our backs ,its about time these figures were questioned and put to an exact count. Personally i think the count should be done by an independent who has no biased towards either party.
