i know its been covered many times on here,yet still its happening.

today i caught our cover manager telling one of our part part timers that he should prep them all on his own time.i jumped right in their and said,you do nothing on your own time.you get to tell us wot to do in our contracted hours ,thats it.she said no ,shes has been a manager for 12 years and its always been the case.i informed her that i could read and have read the agreement and it say.page seven,clearly,to be absorbed into duty time.she demanded to see it in writing..

ive printed it off about 3 times for various managers for it only to disappear.which i told her.if you want him to do it you show us in writing..off she scuttled after much argument ,complaining of having to search though millions of pages..

after delivery i opened my walk log where you will find and order of prep for delivery.it even states point 5 d2d prep.thats after letters flats and missorts.i left that with her..

now today she says our area union rep( )wants a word with us.whilst he seeks clarification...
he is our area rep,ive already shoved it under his nose once before when another manager told us this.his response was well shove it under their nose and see what they say..i didnt.as im not a frickin union rep and it aint my job...(its his)

now difinativly.....does anyone feel they have to prep them on thier own time?

and can anyone tell to simply read the agreement.


i cant blame managers , they will try anything to look good,and like chinese whispers ,one probably said he gets his to do them on their own time and it runs from thier ,turning into the truth for the lazy managers whom cant be arsed to read.
but the area union rep i expect to jump right on it and say no no no...thats why a prep test includes prepping d2d's,thats why it says in your walk log.

had this is my office too

we showed them the d2d agreement with relevant pieces highlighted

then asked them if they disagreed to go away and find in writing where it says we have to prep in our own time

they couldn't so now they are prepped within duty time ( and alot of people are borrowing the d2d agreement )

Bitchface,

You will find that if you all stop paying your union subs, your area rep will bend over backwards to help you. You pay for union representation. You should not have to confront management yourself and run the risk of retaliation.

If this so-called union rep won't help you, raise a grievance. If management already think you are a troublemaker, you have nothing to lose.

Next time the area rep comes to see you, give him the reception he deserves.
