TB 069/10 - CWU Website

No.069 /2010
Ref
Date: 22 January 2010

TO ALL BRANCHES

Dear Colleague

CWU Website

In line with conference policy (General Conference motion 77, 2009) we are reorganising parts of the CWU website to make them more user-friendly.

From 1st February there will be a Reps Resources area accessible from the left-hand bar of the homepage. This area will contain all Letters to Branches, the Branch Officials' Bulletin and current industrial agreements. This area will grow as more relevant material is produced, including reps' briefs.

The Reps Resources area will be jointly managed by the Communications and Research Departments.

These changes should create a 'one stop shop' for reps seeking relevant industrial material and help to streamline the CWU website.

For the interim period, LTB's can be accessed via the 'View your membership details here' button on the top left of the CWU homepage. This allows you to access LTB's in the same way as the old system. This log-in area will eventually sit under the Membership Services section of the website once the Reps Resources area is up and running.

We welcome feedback from branches, reps and officers. Please contact my department on mmurray@cwu.org to comment on content and further improvements.

Best wishes,

Kevin Slocombe
Head of Communications

It's a shame they don't have an "ask a rep" section like a forum where a member can ask a question as a post and then a rep will answer the post and guide the person to the relevant section.
It would sure help me because sometimes work reps don't know what they are talking about and never get back to me about a question I have so I haveto phone branch or HQ who then send me on a merry go round back to the rep.
However this does sound like a good idea, I bet no one at work tells me about it though.
No I'm not being paranoid, they really are out to get me.

That's not a bad idea.
The only flaw is most things are/will be down to local agreement so you might get the reply "see local rep" rather too often. :cuppa

Sorry my friend, but that's uncalled for. Anything made from chocolate has to be good. How do you suppose Billy and Dave got to be the size they are?
