Stage 2 attendance help

Stage 2 states:- After a stage 1 warning you incur a further 2 absences or a single absence of 10 days or more,within any 6 month period during the 12 months following the date of interview,a 2nd stage warning may be issued.
Now maybe i am just missing the obvious but can someone explain the WITHIN ANY 6 MONTH PERIOD BIT TO ME and over a 12 month bottom line bieng is it just 2 absences for the whole 12 month period,any help appreciated.....

If say you had a stage 1 warning in January, then had an absence in February and another one in June, then those two absences would be within 6 months of each other, and would trigger a Stage Two Warning. Similarily if you had one absence of longer than 10 days. However if you had the absence in February, and then didn't have another one until say October then the period between those absences would be longer than 6 months and would not trigger a Stage Two Warning.

After 12 months the Stage One Warning is nullified if you have not triggered a Stage Two Warning, and any further breaches of the absence rules would start again with a Stage One Warning.

It's a rolling 6 months which means that if you have an absence, then a second absence taken within 6 months of your first absence will trigger a stage 2 hearing provided the second absence falls within 12 months of the date of your stage 1 interview.
