All said and done, with whats going on within the company regarding change, it has got to be better than a giro hasn't it.
The only thing that needs to be stamped out is the managers arguementative approuch regarding safe and reasonable work loads and of course the pay rise and our pensions and equality

Is working yourself into an early grave better than a giro?
It's a moot point and one I will have to think about before responding.
You have to weigh up the pros and cons of each action.
Consider the short-term and long-term implications.
If we could just stamp out the managers it would be easy to reply.

Nowadays we have got to look at the big picture, yes we do have a job but at what cost to our long term health due to these increased workloads, I've never seen so many walking wounded and people on light duties in my 20+ years in the job,

Why do people want a quiet life and to settle for 2nd best. Working (And general living) conditions should be improving, not going backwards. Anybody who thinks differently will be condoning a move backwards and eventually to the time when children cleaned chimmneys etc. Bit extreme I know, but why should anybody have to put up with it? The same amount of money is still in the pot, it's just that it's been tipped up towards one end, a little bit more steeply than it used to be. All this under a Labour government as well.

This is what they want as a new mindset for us, become so afraid of being cast out in to the wilderness that is now jobless Britain, that we take being treated like medieval serfs as just being an occupational hazard.

We must, at all costs, above everything else, put our health & well-being first and foremost, before this increasingly crappy job and it's clownish, clueless, greedy, and downright dishonest bosses.
