SO WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN??

I recently asked my manager about the up and coming changes that I presume have come in in other parts of the country but not yet where I work.WHY DO THEY ALWAYS TRY TO FOB YOU OFF WITH A "I DON'T KNOW" ANSWER.
So could anyone let me know what my new daily hours are likely to be to make it a more customer friendly service NOT !!

If your quick on your frame,as I am, it`ll save you maybe 10mins, oh and you`ll have a very dead arm !! They say that we wont have to do any IPS on letters which will mean we can throw in 2 rounds (1450 drops) - yet they also say that everyone on IPS is always on flats coz thats the way the business is going, no letters, all flats. Figure that out. So we still have to sort flats on IPS ,oh and packets, so weres all this time we need to save in order to chuck off 1450 drops ! Maybe we could do it quicker if we did IPS in these magical vans

Royal Mail "think" you will save 20mins/1000 items with wsm.

We got told that diff people will start/finish at diff times due to the mail sequencing machines - 40% will start early , 60% late . Cant tell us though until the machines are working , which will get october at the earliest.

I thought it was due to start earlier than October.I have been told it is to start next week???

Thats bullshine, the machine spits out tons of stuff it cant/wont process leaving maybe a little less mail to sort than we currently do. It DOES NOT sequence everything. And sooner or later it will break down, what then???

I'll second that , but how do you get out of a job that is till 3or 4 oclock? Where do you get the time for job interveiws and such like??

Tell them your looking for a new job, take a unpaid dayoff or lieu day for the interview. Tell them your just doing what they have preached "if you don't like the job, leave".
3/4 oclock finishing time will only make many people finish on their times and hopefully start on their time. I can predict more cutoffs.

Tax payers money is funding more public servants' six figure salaries according to a report by a grassroots campaign group

A host of public sector executives have defended their six figure salaries as a report by the Tax Payers Alliance (TPA) whips up criticism.

The highest paid, non-bank, employee in the public sector is the Royal Mail's chief executive Adam Crozier, who takes home £1.3 million, while Prime Minister Gordon Brown was 323 places below him.

A spokesperson for Royal Mail said Mr Crozier's re-numeration package was “less that the previous year despite the group doubling its operating profits in that period”.
