Can they make youre life even more difficult or even sack you if u put grievance form in? Its sitting here written out and ready, but bit worried. They are the reason im off at mo .

Thats what i did....... :dance starting back week next. still not resolved , but i have assurances.. :left: ...we shall see !!!

as long as you're telling the truth and focussing on the facts don't worry. i put one in and it was the best thing I did. the DOM now treats me like I'm not a total idiot scraped off the bottom of his shoe (just crawled up his leg a little), the other linos don't hassle me (they talk amongst themselves. or grunt. however managers communicate with each other) and I don't have to work in the scummiest, hardest alley because I said I couldn't work with the lino I put the grievance in against.

i will admit I was scared s**tless, but I followed the procedure to the letter :left: and when the DOM kept demanding what he should do about it I said an informal chat may do the trick, but if said lino continued to hassle me I'd take it to stage two. always leave a little threat at the end. don't ever ask them to 'formally' resolve it; after one of my colleagues put in a grievance he got a personal letter from the DOM saying he had 'resolved' the situation leaving him empty handed. that leaves them safe to hassle you again.

only speaking for myself, but if you stand up for yourself there is a 50% chance they will leave you alone, and you can also make a stand for your colleagues who may be too worried to put grievance forms in.

they don't give you many weapons to fight them, but use what you have. paperwork is power to these crazed loons!! don't let them take away your power!and good luck :dance

totally agree with muckyboots. as long as you coherantly state your case, don't get hysterical or personal you shouldn't have a problem. i think i'm right in saying that under the terms of the interim agreement all grievances have to be dealt with swiftly and professionally, if not immediately to diffuse any difficult situations. same happened to me and now they don't mess me about and respect what i'm saying. expect a period of glacial silence and fixed grins but its a small price to pay for ease of mind. and when you're asked in to discuss it, for gods sake take your union rep!!

IF THEY CAME BACK TO ME AND SAID OK WE WERE IN THE WRONG AND THINGS WILL BE BETTER FOR YOU REGARDING MY GRIEVANCE ,WILL I DEMAND I GET THAT IN WRITING ETC? WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE ANYWAY DO THEY SEND ME OUT A LETTER? AS IM OFF AT THE MOMENT BECAUSE OF THINGS AT WORK. I KNOW I PUT IN A 2ND STAGE LETTER IF IM NOT SATISFIED .

i think it varies between offices. you know what RM are like on procedure, they just do their own thing. It is doubtful they will say they were in the wrong, but whatever they do say yes you are entitled to get it in writing. Guessing they will ring you/write to you anyway if you're not in work.

I am a bit confused as to how long you get to put in a 2nd stage, someone else may help you with that ...? :hmmmm eg, I said I would take it to stage 2 if said lino gave me anymore hassle, is there a deadline for him to not act like a doorknob, or is it for as long as you like?
