New office new problems

I've just recently moved from a small office to a bigger one, as its easier to get to. First day yesterday on a new duty, hoping i would get some help prepping it up...not a chance in hell. Took two hours to prep, then had to wait half an hour for a lift out.

Today told my dom that i was an hour over my time yesterday, but i don't think he acknowledged it properly (i'll be checking my docket). Same duty, and this time i got a lift out with the designated driver, no problems i thought...wrong had to wait for three others to drop off their bags before starting my shift. This took 20-25 mins to complete this loop of dropping off bags and everyone else.

I haven't got time to be waiting in a van getting chauffeured about the place . The office i left never had this problem as it was always left to a driver to drop off bags with spare keys. So what to do? Because the way i see it, i will be over my time every day, bar a tuesday probably.

The driver is meant to drop everyone off first then go round and do the drop bags. If I were you I would make some enquiries

In an ideal world they should - but speaking as a former driver, 9 times out of 10 I never had keys for half the boxes and could never get anyone to get any cut, so the only option was to drop people at their boxes with the mail or drive round and round in circles looking for people to get keys off them to drop bags off and then have to take the keys back to them - which would you do? or they could just being getting the driver to do it so they don't have to wait for bags and he doesn't mind because it saves him a drop later! - more likely!

Sounds familiar. I work in a mail centre but managers seem to assume that (a) you were born naturally knowing how to do every last task there... or (b) you can instantly read the minds of people around you who do.

oh so THATs what I'm supposed to be doing!!! no wonder they treat me like i'm stupid and lazy...I don't even possess the two basic skills for this job!!
