back to tradition

I've Been working in the Callers on and off for donkey's years now (ex PHG you see), I have seen over a period of time Royal Mail allowing security measures regarding handing all sorts of items over to customers become shamfully lax. However during my current stint I have observed that times have gone backwards which is fantasic.
Data Protection and Fraud is the new "buzz word" for our Caller colleagues and nothing goes out not unless the customer has name and address corrisponding ID.
I believe Royal Mail management within our unit deserve a gold star :chuckle.
All they have to do now is give our Reg Locker colleagues the resonable instruction to stop confirming delivery of Registered Items, when they have no knowleadge whether or not those items have been delivered or not. This will then stop customers comming into the Callers stating that the Royal Mail website states my Item has been delivered, when clearly it has not. This will then save the imbarrisment to our Caller colleagues who are being spoken to in a manner that leaves you stund, however I must say they do conduct themselves in a professional way. So hats off to them :Applause
I therefore believe Management within our unit have now been stripped of the Gold Star :d'oh! and have to now wear the pointy paper hat with the big D on it. :no no sorry management but you suck :wave
