a photocopied one left on our frames 
They could not even get the DOM to personally address them in the space provided.
Grateful for the acknowledgement, but pissed off at the style and method. All we are really worth is a photocopied generic Thank you letter, left on our frames. Well that made all the effort since it started snowing worth it didn't it.

Didnt even get the photocopy and the managers had all gone home when i got back in 1.10 pm

No letter at my office either, not even anything pinned up on the notice board but I'm not surprised

Yep received ours yesterday all addressed individually thanking us for our efforts during the snow and ice. Why do they bother the two faced BAST@RDS. :mfo :cfo

Thank you letter?
For what may I enquire..? For slogging our guts out in all sorts of foul weather, whilst the managers, with the exception of a few, put their feet up in the warm, whilst the hard working postie struggles out in all types of foul weather?
As has been said.. a nice 'thank-you' of a monetary kind (and a decent one!) would be appreciated by all I bet.
We've had nothing like this in our office since we are over run with mail, no doubt like a lot of offices are.
We clear frames and as soon as they are cleared we are sorting mail back onto them in an attempt to clear the backlog, and in our office it looks as though this will last until well into next week.. around Thurs time.
When I left work today the IPS frames had mail all along them ready to be sorted onto the Secondary frames and there were also around 10 Yorks of packets by the packet frames too. We were also told this morning by our DOM that there is also another 30 Yorks of mail/parcels that will be coming into the office for us, although he said that the subs that get sorted in our office will be sorted elsewhere to try to help clear the backlog.
So some kind of recompense would be nice.. not some photocopied letter put on frames for us as a thankyou.
The public have been somewhat understandable in our area, and have come to collect their own mail when we were unable to get out due to unsafe roads/paths, this is when they've come into town or are on their way home etc. You get the odd one or two who moan about not having mail when they come in, saying that they always get mail everyday, not just one letter like they have collected. I said to some of them when I was helping on the front desk; "You're more than welcome to come and sort the mail to see if you have anymore, as that's all that was in the frame for you. If you want to sort through 30 Yorks of mail to find your letters then please.. do go ahead". (said with a
on my face) When I tell them that there are around 20-24 trays of letters on each York and each tray has around 150-200 letters in it!) You can imagine the look on their faces. Especially when you tell them that you have to sort that lot before we even go out on delivery.. and they still think all we do is pick up a bag and walk out the door with it!
So please RM don't fob us off with a photocopied letter saying "Thanks for your hard work during this bad weather" .. give us something more than that!
