Substandard uniform and cold related illness

After traipsing around in the snow for three days in my Magnums i decided enough was enough.I rooted my wellys and walking boots out and hey presto my feet have been warm and dry ever since.The magnums were soaked through after ten minutes of walking,so thats nearly four hours of wet cold feet,no jumpers either and paper thin pants(I had to put my thermals on).This has got me thinking that if anybody got a serious illness such as pneumonia what would the chances be of taking Royal Mail to court for giving insufficent equipment.

Nah it can be caused by quite a few different things.

Trench foot would be more likely though. I guess if you asked for more gear to keep you warm and you didn't get it, then fell ill, you'd have a case.

i had the new cats on and they was soaked through in no time and the tred dont last long on them to. the unifom is bad this time of year its all just to thin and cheap. best thing i hever had was that thermal coat years back that the arms ziped off

I Asked my DOM for snow chains, his answer was we don`t have any but we have ordered some. Fat lot of good that is, the snow is gone now and the chains never got here!
