SUSPENDED MAIL DELIVERY

Some advice please just found out that our office has suspended delivery today due to ice, only found this out when I phoned line manager top ask where my bags are as I have 1st bag delivered to my house due to being put on a longer walk in the summer (only on 20 hour contract), had my old walk given to someone more senior even though I had been on the same walk for 3 years (peed off to say the least) been through a lot of shite due to this could fill a page but back to original post was told by manager that I am being paid for today so would have to make the time up the rest of week can he force me to do this, already catching up from last week although it was my roted week off was told that only 1st and 2nd class mail went out due to snow so monday & tuesday loads of packets flats and general shite finished at 3.30 both days should finish at 2.00 never happens, just want to know where I stand as i have been out in worse conditions before.

NO,he cant make you make the time up,what ever they give you to deliver,deliver what you can in your duty time,if you want to claim,then claim.
There is no banking hours what so ever,see your rep if you can.
