DOM doing Postmans work

Post by ciderdrinker »

Hi,just taken on the reps roll in a small office and finding my feet with it all.
It was my day off today and one of the guys rang me to tell me the manager went out and did part of a delivery today....on a round thats been snowbound and flagged up by pegasus to be over the 3.5....but i digress :d'oh!
What i wanna know is what can i write in a letter to sound like i know what im talking about and make sure he dont do it again?
Thanks

What about a rep that's higher up the pecking order, surely they can give you advice, it's what they are there for.
No I'm not being paranoid, they really are out to get me.

In the future I can see many more managers ending up doing posties work

As the weather is up the wall,so tbf is everything else, now when the weather gets better and everything is back to normal, that's a different matter.
If managers have to do posties work to get the job done then there is something wrong.

In a nutshell, they should do no postie work at all,end of!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

No chance of the managers at my office taking anything out, they would rather leave it in the frame for another day.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

they'd that plant B***ie 40 on the defunct Hellmail forum suggesting that ( Super DIM's over a cluster of DO's ) , I've heard that mentioned at WTL too as the way forward for Distribution and Processing .

Apparently it was a Leighton idea , he preferred the Walmart 3 layers of management model and would argue that the chain of command was too long . Apparently RM have had 18 layers - maybe a hangover from the jobs for the boys 90's ? , RM had a creative accounting Operating Loss in the early noughties when they all had to be paid off ; then it was whittled down to 13 layers .

Maybe RM have had to keep them on as they're needed as contingency for all the strikes RM have orchestrated :hmmmm .
