Special Delivery

Hi all it's cold out there! I sent an SD to Wales on tues and it was received today @ 10.30am now i know weather conditions are bad that's not my gripe, but when i went on tracking service yesterday to be told it had been attempted and P739 left,then today it said it had arrived at DO and was getting delivered. I wasn't gonna claim cause of weather just glad it got there but to lie to customers especially one's that know better gets my back up, "SD is delayed due to severe weather" would have been better. Do I have a case?? rant over.

Looks like it was attempted to be delivered, customer was not in, asked for redelivery. It was redelivered.

It could have arrived (back) at DO by the delivery Postie. If you let us know what you think is wrong we could give a real opinion.

The girl said she was in and no one called, the web site said 1st, day package attempted card left, 2nd, day package has arrived at DO and del being done just annoyed cause she sent e-mail saying where is it? i replied saying you were out when they attempted del get the drift, look don't get me wrong i know we do a great job but if something hasn't been done don't say it has that's my gripe and it's with the web site not us workers. Sorry but i hate lies i know i'm in the wrong job for that.

I think I know whats happened.

1. The SD arrived at the DO ok.
2. The duty holder took it out with them with then intention of delivering it so it was scanned out.
3. When they got to the delivery point or as close as they could get they assessed that the conditions were such that delivery could not be attempted.
4. As with my DO then they confirmed back to the DO by text the ones they had not been able to deliver (including form left ones)
5. The locker staff scanned it in as a Form Left as there is no way to advise a specific reason for non delivery if you don't have a PDA.
6. Duty Holder left it a PO as per guidlines.
7. It then made its journey from PO to MC to DO and then was scanned in again.
8. As it was not marked F/L delivery was attempted again and this time was successful.

Can you claim - probably not as the SD guarantee has been suspended because of conditions.
