1996 safety rep agreement query
Does anybody know if the 1996 safety rep agreement still holds as offical CWU/RML procedure/policy and if there has been any alterations since then?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I believe so brother Big Daz but this can be checked upon if we are finally able to log in on the CWU website. I'm sure it is on there somewhere under agreements or health and safety section. Out of curiousity may one ask why? Look out for (it's correct title) Communication Workers Union Health And Safety Representation And Consultation In Royal Mail.

Helping out my replacement 
He had asked for some time off to do his saftey rep job, senior manager says not entitled and my memory is a bit rusty on all the rules and breakdown of entitlements between ASR and WSR incluidng time off to perform H and S duties.
Ive got a copy of the agreement, but wanted to make sure its as up to date before we go quoting it at the DOM.
Will be giving my WSR his copy in the morning as the thing is too big for email.
in the meantime I have emailed him the basics on release and where some of the legal rights/SRSC regs of/for safety reps are the sole domain of the ASR. Those being the formal planned quartley inspections and the safety committees.
