Moving day off?

The walk i am staffed on for next week has the Tuesday off but the staffing sheet has me in on another duty for that day with no day off scheduled so they are obviously moving my day off to either the Monday or Friday.Can they do this?This comes on top of me being removed from my signed for duty for the last 9 months so they can lapse my delivery meaning i have been shoved from pillar to post.I,ve had no long weekends, lost leaflet money received plenty of b&h when not being able to lapse whilst on unfamiliar deliveries and am at my wits end with this company.My 13 years unblemished service seems to count for squat.

Yep thats how the job is going, and you can't do nothing but you will receive a lieu day for the holiday.

In our office if you are a reserve you get the day off of the duty you are covering. Simple.
The idea of bringing you in on another duty that day and simply moving your day off has never happened in our place. I would be seeing your rep and your Area rep if possible.

you should never have let them take you off your signed duty in the 1st place, they tried to do this in our office and it caused mayhem, the union told them they could only lapse spare walks and not take people off of dutys to lapse them. Now you have given up your duty they will shlt all over you when it comes to things like days off mate and theres not a lot you can do about it.

i get moved off my delivery quite often............but after several years of being a reserve and getting different days off every week, my DOM has agreed what ever duty i do i stick with my signed for duties day off
only had it changed once on the last 14 months and that benifited both of us

If his duty has a designated day off he can't really change but if its different duty with a different dayoff their is nowt you can do but grin and bare it, and speak to your union rep.

if my day off falls on a 'holiday' day i make sure i get a day off that same week if not the following day as it's discriminatory otherwise i'd not be accepting lieu days at all

Why did the Union not do this on a national basis? There is definitley a guy at ours who has been shunted off his duty (naturally he was back on it over Christmas but will get shunted off it again next week when lapsing comes back in). When it first happened I thought it couldn't be right and was amazed there wasn't a stink kicked up about it.

l have a signed walk that is close to the office , it was previously lapsed/absorbed as it was vacant ,i was taken off it for 5 months and used as a " reserve " without my agreement , ive been put back on it over xmas but now its the new year im waiting for the Dom to say your off this walk again for months....he states " operational needs " is this still going on in other offices and is the manager wrong to do it ?!?

Surely only vacant walks should be lasped/asorbed ?

should a 318 even bloddy exist then at the bottom it says "as directed", however a discussion needs to take place with whatever halfwit the business put in front of you specifically regarding what you signed for. Particularly that your day off is such and such. This is the reason you signed for the duty. If it's a rotating day then wherever that falls within the system.
Don't let them fob you off, only agree to what is acceptable to YOU.!!
