Surprisingly we got the 'well done' speech, when I got back there were 6 mince pies and a box of quality street on the desk, only 1 LM about all the rest went home at 9.55 apparently. There used to be about 150 of us, not sure how many now with EVR's and sackings.

we got a thank you letter put on every frame
plus a 'buffet' on Tuesday
i cant tell you what was on it as it was my day off,seems those on day off were just s**t outa luck on whatever it was

We got told more lapsing by our Dom through the line manager by the 29 of December it is nice to feel valued by one's employer at this time of year!.

Christmas, much like most other Religious and Pagan Holidays by-passed our office. Our DUMB..I mean DOM was upgraded by CyberDyne systems to Cluster Manager and we got some random Vin Diesel wanna be in as our temp manager who was so inept he was downgraded to assistant DOM within a week and replaced by the current Assistant Dom.. The Three Stooges have nothing on our office management- "Hey Mo, A wise guy huh? I resemble that remark! yuk yuk yuk yuk"
We had no deccies, no speech of thanks and no mention of what time we were due back in after the break. (We normally have a vote to come in late on the first day back) - and absolutely no 'spread' or milk and cookies for the troops to combat the adverse weather conditions that were trying to force their way into the unit.
NOW... First line fix money. Surely some of this could be used to accommodate such situations by providing the staff with a 'thank you' and set them up with a spread and some Christmas cheer. Maybe pay a local catering company to provide a buffet and some drinks for the staff? or is this far too much like common sense and going against the whole structure of the company by installing some warm thanks and moral back into an already crushed and anxious work force?
