Maybe the cost of the "required" modernisation can be covered by the increased revenue, rather than x thousand jobs?

ETA: "Royal Mail said its letters business had seen volumes fall to 72 million items a day, down by three million from last year."

So 3 million is now 10% of 75 million. :roll:

I read that they're putting the prices up because they made a loss of £250million yes million!! for 2008-09 thought all 4 parts of RM made a profit or is it jusyt more lies,...?
